Biography
Charlotte holds a bachelor’s degree in Art Practice from Goldsmiths, University of London, an MFA with distinction in Creative Writing from Birkbeck, University of London, and a PhD exploring the relationship between addiction, capitalism, spirituality, and writing.
Charlotte spent four years living in a Zen Buddhist monastery, a practice that continues to shape her writing.
Her debut book, Practicing Dying (Pilot Press, 2025), was launched at the Institute of Contemporary Arts and has since received widespread critical acclaim. She is currently developing a proposed new novel, Down and Out in Kensington and Chelsea.
Alongside her literary work, she has worked closely with people experiencing homelessness and addiction.
